Responsive and resistant, these are the keywords with which Fulcrum returns to the MTB arena. These two characteristics were the main development objectives of the new Red Zone Carbon - a wheel that is fully in its element with demanding riders in challenging terrain.
The Red Zone Carbon is the result of a long research and development process in which all the wheel components (rims, hubs and spokes) have been combined individually, but above all as a whole to create a wheel system that meets the requirements of the most demanding bikers. With lightness and responsiveness for maximum performance uphill, but also a high level of vertical damping and stability, so that every adrenaline-fueled downhill always remains safe and perfectly controllable.
The Red Zone Carbon is a technology powerhouse where all our experience is in every component: it is Fulcrum's new formula for modern MTB use.
A functional and unique design with a new matte finish straight from the Carbon-Mold (DIMF), with all the strengths that riders expect from an XC / Marathon or Down Country wheel: a lightweight and extremely smooth running 28mm wide rim in a wheel produced entirely in Europe, mostly in Italy.

The Tubeless-Technology was first used in the automotive sector, then in motorcycles and finally in bicycle racing. After entering the MTB world, the moment has now come for its use on the road: And that's what we offer you now! We have developed the 2-Way Fit™ technology to guarantee the perfect compatibility of our tubeless rims also with normal clincher tires and tubes. 2-Way Fit™ Wheels are particularly versatile and therefore perfectly suited to any situation.
Thanks to a special marking in the valve area, the mounting of the tubes is done with high precision and the tube remains firmly stabilized in the clincher tire. The valve for tubeless tires can also be used safely. This offers the undeniable advantage that air can never enter during assembly due to inaccurate positioning.
MoMag™
What is MoMag™? A magnet and a lot of expertise. This is how the patent of the tested “Mounting Magnet” system was born, i.e. MoMag™.
After the nipples are inserted into the rim through the valve opening, they are "guided" by a magnet to the point of connection with the rim. With this system, as simple as it is ingenious, one obtains a wheel on whose upper rim web there are no holes, but the lacing is done by clamping with conventional nipples!
Wide Rim Tech
The Fulcrum® R+D department, following the requests of the racing teams, worked to create rims with a greater width in relation to the past, starting from about 4 mm more than the previous ones.
Undrilled Rim Bed
The lack of holes on the inner rim bed channel is synonymous with a homogeneous product in all its points, not subject to critical stress points.
The advantages can be seen immediately: lower weight, longer durability of the rim, greater fatigue resistance, possibility of further tensioning of the spokes and greater rigidity, which means more reactivity and acceleration in terms of performance.
Cup & cone
The sliding and conical bearing differs from the classic cartridge bearings in that it works perfectly aligned with the corresponding forces, weight and thrusts coming from the frame, since the balls run on a groove positioned in direct opposition to these forces.
